スプルース（Spruce）は、北半球の寒冷地に広く分布しているマツ科の常緑針葉樹です。 軽量で加工しやすく、美しい木目を持つことから、突板（つきいた）として内装材や家具などに広く使用されています。
※柾目＝木材を年輪に対して垂直に製材したもので、均一でまっすぐな木目が特徴。

合板にはラワン合板を採用。軽くて扱いやすいのが特徴で、ゆがみにくく割れにくいので主に家具や建具や壁材に使用します。

突板材（化粧板）は、基材の表面に「天然の木を薄くスライスしたもの＝突板」を貼り付けた木材です。そのため、突板材は天然木の美しい外観を持ちつつも、無垢材のような反りや割れがなく、コストパフォーマンスに優れているなど、良い面を多数兼ね備えています。
